Marshall Kilgore is a dedicated human rights advocate and fourth-generation Grand Rapidian.

Marshall is deeply involved in the city of Grand Rapids, serving on multiple committees and boards such as the Vital Streets Oversight Commission, Urban Agriculture Committee, and Housing Appeals Board. He also volunteers with the Seeds of Promise Board and the Black Legacy Fund committee for the Grand Rapids Community Foundation.

Holding a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Western Michigan University, he has actively championed environmental sustainability, equal rights, and a living wage.
